Point 2
比較するときに使われる形容詞を比較級と言います。基本的には形容詞にerをつけます。例えば、tall「背が高い」の比較級はtaller「より背が高い」です。強調するときはmuchやwayが使われます。thanは「～より」という意味です。
比較級 er

「彼は私より若いです」
She’s older.
「彼女は年上です」
You’re taller than him.
「あなたは彼より背が高いですね」
This is much bigger.
「こっちの方が全然大きいですね」
